Living in Hawaii means we have pretty amazing weather 27/7 but we don’t have real seasons. When I add things to my wardrobe I like to stick to transitional, layering pieces. While I know these outfits won’t get me through a freezing winter, they do just fine when things get a bit nippy in Hawaii or when we travel during the Fall and Spring.

These types of outfits are my casual go-tos. A cute dress and a jacket or jeans with a cute top. Both are suitable for warm or chilly weather. If it’s warm out, I’d skip the jacket and pair a dress with sandals. Depending on what level of cold I am, I add a jacket and maybe tights. Same with a jeans outfit, I always think in layers. I don’t like the idea of only being able to wear things if the weather is just perfect for that outfit.

What are your favorite transitional wardrobe pieces?
