I struggled for years to clear my skin. I tried every single acne product on the market… including prescribed medications. I also refused to use moisturizer because I struggled with oily skin. It wasn’t until I read an article explaining how our skin over-produced oil if our skin was too dried out that I quit drying out my skin with chemical cleansers and toners.
I’ve probably tried half the natural face washes & moisturizers on the market. Some better than others… but nothing I really fell in love with.
One day I stumbled upon Biossance on Pinterest (Thank you Candice Kumai) and you could say the rest is history.
I used the moisturizers (The Revitalizer & The Nourisher) on their own for a while… but I decided to give them a boost. I add 15 drops of Young Living Carrot Seed Essential Oil & 15 Drops of Young Living Frankincense EO to each bottle & shake to blend. Frankincense may help smooth the appearance of healthy-looking skin.* Carrot Seed EO may support your well-being.*
Morning Skin Care Routine
In the morning I really don’t do much. I rinse my face with cold water and apply The Revitalizer or The Nourisher. I alternate between the two. Then I use The Illuminator eye gel. I let everything sink in while I brush my teeth & make a pot of tea. Then I apply my makeup.
Evening Skin Care Routine
Before I turn on the water in the shower, I put a couple pumps of The Purifier cleansing oil in my hands and massage it into my dry face — including my eyelids! Then I turn on the water and put a little on my hands and massage the oil into a light lather. It melts off all makeup and my skin feels so smooth. After I get out of the shower I immediately apply The Revitalizer or The Nourisher and the eye gel.
Once a Week
Once a week I exfoliate my face with my Clarisonic or derma e Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Glycolic Scrub.
Once a Month
Once a month I use the Origins Clear Improvement activated charcoal mask. It makes my face all tingly. It really dries up any blemishes I might have.
How I Spot Treat
I keep a bottle of Young Living Tea Tree EO in my bathroom for any pesky blemishes that may pop up. I’ll apply a drop morning & night until it fades. If it’s a really bad zit, I’ll sleep with the Origins mask on that one spot. I rarely have to do that anymore.
And that’s it! What natural skin care products do you love?
